A local team in every city we farm
MicroHabitat designs, installs and operates urban farms in 20 cities across North America and Europe. Every location is served by its own team of urban farmers, so the same programme runs to the same standard whether the building sits in Montreal, New York or Amsterdam.
Each city page below shows what grows there, the building types we work with — commercial real estate portfolios, corporate campuses, schools, hotels and hospitals — and how the harvest is shared with tenants, employees and local food banks.
Starting a programme in a new city takes one season. We assess the space for load capacity, sun exposure and water access, design a farm that fits the building, install it in spring, then maintain it weekly through the growing season with harvests delivered on site. If your city is not listed yet, tell us about the property and we will tell you what is possible.
